I did see an interesting reddit article about the potential dps for sunsingers with fusions and viking funeral combo. Apparently mathematically it can out dps the spindle for the duration of radiance but it just seems unlikely until we see more people do it.

Doesn't help it in crucible

Pvp isn't the point of this game. Maybe one day people will understand that.
-
Crucible is more popular than pve currently

I realize unfortunately. It would be infinity better without pvp.
I realize unfortunately. It would be infinity better without pvp.
That's a matter of opinion. Destiny would definitely have fewer players. PvE gets old after a month or so of doing the exact same strikes and raids with the AI doing pretty much the exact same thing. PvP, at least, has some variety because you never know what a human will do.

This argument has been said so many times. And I don't care how many players it has, the content is what is important. And realistically once the game is sold no one cares because they have their money. And yes having no pvp would make things better, you don't need pvp in a game that allows people to play together.
-
Then don't play pvp or get in pvp chat rooms only reason I play anymore raid sucks nf crappy rewards shaxx, trials bounties and IB rewards are way better 335 without raids and stupid prison have fun in your lame pve
-
You do you man, if you enjoy it cool but I don't understand why people play this game that was made and marketed for pve if they are only going to play pvp. Just saying that without it there would have been more focus on better elements, there would be no nerfs and there's a better community

I will raid again when they get a new all the pve is boring now I have 4980 grimoire I've gotten all exotics, legendary guns there's nothing to do in pve I've been oryx over 20 times on hard if they came out with new stuff more often pve would be worth playing but not at the rate they've been putting out content
-
See that's where I would have picked up a new game instead of playing still

One, probably the last of them, is there's silver to buy. Fewer players means less silver sold. And for most companies, that might be true as for once the game is sold, no one cares, but not with a game like Destiny. It has DLC, which costs money, and sequels, which will cost money. Fewer returning players means less people to buy those things, so it's in Bungie's best interest to keep players. Also, it looks bad on their reports when they tell their publishers (one they have a longer contract with) "we sold x amount of copies, but a huge percentage left after two months." And the allowing people to play together is laughable due to their matchmaking/invite system, and for most (all?) of the endgame stuff you have to go to an external site. If you want to see matchmaking and social done right, look at The Division. They have the best matchmaking and social system I've seen to date.

Plenty of games have dlc as a way to bring players back, there will always be loyalists to play. And micro transaction will get their money when it's worth it, I play league of legends and those are worth it, not this stuff. And I've played the division, I agree the matchmaking is good there.
