I agree. The subclass that most needs nerfing is Sunbreaker.

  • Heh? Sunbreakers got nerf so bad they get rekt by everything. Even with the tiny boost they gave us, it still isn't that OP. Stormbringer needs a nerf though, you can't kill it with a shotgun at 1cm from him.

  • Maybe, but the shield on the stormbreaker is way stronger than the one of the sunbreaker. The only other subclass with as much health/shield is the blade dancer. Although blade dancers don't kill you through walls, can't kill you while you're in the air unless you jump, can't kill you while you're behind him. (Of course depending on how you make your subclass some of these are doable).

  • What I'm saying is you can have 5 players shooting at a stormbringer and you struggle to kill him. You can kill a sunbreaker in close range with a shotgun, but you'll need to shoot stormbringer twice(with the shotgun) and pummel him.

  • Hm, I guess you're right about Stormbringers. But still, a Sunbreaker being attacked by three people might be shot enough to get his shield down, but he just has to kill one then he gets full life, shield and an overshield, giving him enough time to kill the other two.

    Actually any high skilled players is able to one man a sunbreaker.(Do not be offended by this, not every high skilled players are able to, just because you can't doesn't mean you're not skilled) You just need the right weapon. And they only get full life because they took the thing in the subclass that allows every hammer/fist kill to heal you or(you can't take both), they choose to take that once in a fire zone(that they made) they get an overshiled(that does not regen). The thing with sunbreakers is you can't be afraid, you just got to ram him hard with like 2 persons. The ones you'll have problem killing are the titanmains, most of us are pretty skilled with these subclasses(as it's our main character). Which is why we can(not all he time), throw a hammer crossmap( kind of like with golden gun long range shots). Hammers are also pretty easy to evade... depending of how skilled the titan is and how far you are from him. Titans are also pretty slow(in general people put lot more defense than speed), if you have sound on you can clearly hear it and run away. There are many more ways to handle a sunbreaker. Plus, bubble is probably one of the most OP titan subclass, if you get enough bubble you can start a bubble fest in the middle of the map. It also has a grenade that can cancel your super, so basically no need for the new hunter subclass.

  • And, according to the chart, it looks like Gunslinger needed a nerf for a while, which they got, but I'm not sure if it really made a difference other than not being able to use the Tripmine like a Fusion grenade.

  • It made a huge difference, those grenades are basically THE only grenade that worked for Gunslingers. Incediary doesn't stick, has a slow time until explosion, doesn't kill. Swarm is just awful, even with the damage buff they're basically useless. I average somewhere around 1 kill per 8 thrown. You have to shoot them prior to throwing it, and normally die while it is "trying" to track. Most times it seems like Swarm grenades just give up. I got very good at sticking people with Tripmines, and it took a decent bit of skill. It didn't take a wizard by any means, but it was the way they were meant to operate. Not only did they nerf that, but knives as well, which those two nerfs were the only reliable part of the class other than the Super. I'm not saying Gunslinger isn't a viable class, because it definitely is, but I've noticed a drastic change in my playstyle since the nerf. A lot of what the chart shows is, most of the top players play hunters.

  • In the newest crucible radio podcast they had bungie devs on the show and they said that tripmine was netting more kills then firebolt was for warlocks (and that is/was the warlock super)

  • Pretty sure they said specifically "mid super." Which is a silly thing to compare it to. Because fire bolts themselves hardly ever killed people. it was the burn from viking funeral/touch of flame or someone finishing them off with a gun shot. Bungie is pretty awful at justifying changes most of the time. The chart they gave is pretty much see through as well. as it doesn't show or take into consideration a lot of factors.

  • I'm 99% it was still a grenade kill if you died from the burn but your right that 99% of the time it's follow up shots that actually gets the kill.
