They were trying to make the transition as easy as possible. They even lowered the price of TTK Special Edition on the PS Store(I don't know about physical copies). why can't you get the pre order RoI?

  • I just don't understand why bungie can't just give legacy console player the free ttk if they transition to newer gen.

ok then they save you the cost of the game then since last time I was on the PS Store TTK Special Edition was only $40. Last Gen Console Owners Destiny- $80 Dark Below-$20 HoW- $20 TTK- $40 for a total of $160 before taxes I upgraded from my 360 to a PS4 when PS4 came out Current gen Console Owners PS4/XB1- $400 Destiny- $80 Dark Below-$20 HoW- $20 TTK- $40 for a total of $560 before taxes Upgrading cost PS4/XB1-$400 TTK Special edition Destiny- $40 for a total of $440 before taxes Just think about the cost that you will actually have to deal with and the only thing you're complaining about is the fact that you have to upgrade your console to current gen.

  • I'm already having to shell out $350 for a ps4 and $30 (when I buy RoI), it would be nice if I could just upgrade my TTK PS3 copy and not have to re-buy it. No offense, I'm just not made of money.

  • Well it sounds like you're wanting to get RoI so you're going to have to update your Destiny to PS4. Whether you like it or not, that is the truth. Personally I think TTK would have been the prime time to upgrade to PS4 since they made a big bundle copy of Destiny including all expansions up to and including TTK. It's the type of thing where you should have thought of upgrading for the past few years(don't give me that crap "but I own Destiny on PS3"). PS. That is still no reason why you can't preorder the RoI. Just buy your PS4 and preorder RoI and then if you have to wait to buy Destiny you'll have the ability to pick up the Iron Gjallarhorn through the quest when you buy Destiny

  • I've pretty much accepted I have to bite the bullet and get a ps4. Had I known they were going to make the next expansion a ps4 only, I would have bought one a lot sooner. That's a mistake on my end. And I can't buy the pre-release without owning the TTK, per the playstation store. I thought that was a little weird.
