Given the amount of music and the availability of it, I would say this is shaping up to be another great era of music.
Also, I've got promo copies of some highly anticipated albums, including California by Blink-182, The Getaway by Red Hot Chili Peppers (which released last week), Magma by Gojira, and a few others. Gotta love having friends who work for music magazines.
RHCP's new album is really damn good. A lot better than Monarchy of Roses. Possibly better than Stadium Arcadium (which I personally think is an overrated album). I'll give more impressions/opinion/short reviews if anyone is interested.

I'm so sorry for trying to start a worthwhile conversation in a run-of-the-mill shitpost. You sure showed me how to be a better member of Off-Topic. Thanks, Mister.

Is California any good?

Edited by TheQ5: 6/28/2016 5:33:27 AMIt's not incredible but I've only listened to it once; I haven't had enough time to form a legitimate opinion about it. That being said, it doesn't feel like a blink-182 album. A few of the songs are damn good but overall it's a slight disappointment to me, personally. And it has an egregious overuse of auto-tuned vocals. But that's all based on one listen to the album. I'll probably end up liking it more once I accept that this band is not the blink-182 I grew up listening to. It's definitely worth listening to. Just don't expect something like Enema of the State. California is more akin to blink-182's self-titled album mixed with +44.

Okay! Thanks

I thought The Getaway was fantastic too. Smooth, just how I like my RHCP.
