... you get the point... there are three battlefront games, and unless one does get released with the title "battlefront 3" than ea's battlefront is the third in the series of games on a technical level...

It's the third in the "Battlefront" series, but sixth in the "Battlefront lineup." There were three spinoff handheld titles. Halo 3: ODST was the fourth Halo title but Halo 4 was the fourth in the Master Chief saga.
