[i]Can't think of a title, deal with it.[/i]
It had been a few days now, since Lucas had first appeared on the ship. And it had been a few days since he had met Mir'ika, the first daughter of Kor'El. It had been a few days since they had been dating, too. At first, they were a bit unsure of where they stood, but after numerous dates, they were official. And today was a grand day for Mir'ika's boyfriend. He was supposed to meet her father.
"C'mon, babe!"
Mir'ika was shaking Lucas in his bed to wake him up. She was wearing a svelte pink dress, her red hair let free, falling flat to her upper back. She had a bright smile on her face.
"It's time for breakfast, and I have someone you gotra meet!"
She giggles.

"Oh, I know. I already met one of those unpleasant surprises when some giant.. thing showed up in a geyser of blood. Luckily Miri was there to save the day.." He said, still thankful.

[i][u]"Ah, she must have been using the Justificator. It's a very recent suit, luckily, it's maker is one of my only remaining friendly contacts within the Empire. He shared a copy of the blueprint with me."[/u][/i]

"Justificator, eh? Name definitely suits it well." He says honestly. "...But eh... You wouldn't happen to have any spare parts laying around... that I could use, right?"

[i][u]"Oh, I'm afraid not our resources are very limited in this place."[/u][/i]

"That's what I expected.. Eh, no matter, really. It'll work fine for now, just have to finish repairs."

[i][u]"alright then."[/u][/i] He jumps out of the suit, the red cloud returning to his previous suit.

Once there, Lucas stretches a bit. "S'there coffee somewhere? I'd like some.."

"Yeah! Gimme a sec babe." Mir'ika, who was sitting at the table, got up to make some coffee.

"Oh! Thanks a lot for that, Dearest!" He said with a wide smile.

She returns with a cup of coffee for him. "So, any plans for today?"

He takes the cup with a grateful smile and a thankful nod. "None that I had planned, no. Might try to cook something for you though!"

"Alright! I was planning on washing the mechs today anyway."

"And in the meantime I'll be doing my best to cook something edible without blowing up the kitchen." He giggles.

"Alright then. See you at lunch!" She kisses him quickly before going back downstairs.

He smiles a bit, and looks around the kitchen, silently saying to himself, "I never was good at cooking.. Could try something like.. waffles? Maybe.. pancakes? No, I'm allergic to those.. Waffles it is! Just need.. Flour, and a waffle iron.. and milk.. and other things.."

Amy gets up. "Well, I have some research to get to doing. So... see you all later." She walks off, and Abby leaves without saying a word.

"She didn't look that happy.. She didn't look at all, really.. Eh, not everyone is good with people, and being good with people isn't really something you can learn.." He shrugs, and starts collecting the ingredients from around the kitchen.

"Isn't that how it should be when it comes to parents?" He chuckles. "And I may not know her that well, but I'm glad she's happy too; it's always nice to see others be happy. Even when they're strangers."

"Yes, I've heard only bad things about the humans here; the Imperium.. Violent, naïve, xenophobic, generally unpleasant.."
