Truly the sun has risen on Britain once again. Finally they've thrown off the shackles of the EU and declared themselves free. Once again they have the potential to renew their spot as a superpower without being held back by the EU. With this vote they've taken the first step in making the world a better, less united place.

Orrrrrr, nationalism will continue and bam, world War 3
-
We can be united and not in a union. I love my friends but I don't want to marry the twats.
-
I gotta say that a united world sounds a lot better to me. We don't all have to be one culture, or country, or race, or anything, but I'd like to never have to worry about my family members going off to fight a war, or my country being the target of terrorism, or my city being destroyed by carpet bombing.
-
It sounds nice on paper but unfortunately it creates pansies. Just look at are world today which is fairly united and see how much weak crybabies we've created. We need to create a world that makes humanity strong again. That world is going to have to be a divided one.
-
I don't agree. I think it's possible to have both strong and resilient people, and world peace. It doesn't all have to do with politics. If we would all just raise our kids right, and get along with others, and learn how to compromise, a lot of beef that I, and I would imagine you have with humanity would be solved.

We would have war and conflict between those nations even if they were totally united. You can never merge those vastly different cultures and languages together without death and destruction. Look at the late Czechslovakia
-
Well Czechoslovakia worked until the Serbians tried to "ethnically cleanse their land." That's not what strong or respectful nations would do at all. That's what a fearful and desperate nation does in order to seem tough, or bolster its people's confidence. Besides, a unified world government wasn't what I was advocating for. Nations can exist that respect each other, or react diplomatically. Arguably, they best way to do that is through unions and agreements, such as the UN, EU, NATO, and business partnerships. People seem to forget that war is a pretty shitty thing, and most of the time, talking things out can usually solve more problems than fighting would.

I get how your trying to make it seem like q good thing, but a less United place seems like the opposite of good.
-
I disagree.
-
Not that I hold any sided views on this, but is this satire or not (it can be really hard to tell whether something is satire these days)?
-
It isn't satire.
