Fixing Shadestep for Real!
So we have graviton forfeit, an exotic that grants shadestep. We also have a shadestep that has one use before cooldown. What if with Graviton Forfeit you get one when not using shadestep in subclass tree, then u get a second if both are active, Graviton equiped, AND node selected in subclass tree. The syntax of Graviton Forfeit would read: Grants an extra shadestep to nightstalkers. It would be similar to bones of Eao. You can have triple jump without it selected, and get 4 jumps with triple and bones on.
If you don't like, please comment below why it is a bad idea. maybe this can be improved
TL;DR: Graviton Forfeit is like Bones. Grants an extra use, 1 if just using forfeit, 2 cooldowns if using forfeit with subclass node selected.
Edit: I don't main hunter. look at play hours on mine if you must. I do not play it much at all.

The should just take revert Shadestep back to the way it was, just don't let them shoot in the middle of an animation. It's not THAT difficult to hit someone dodging with shadestep or twilight garrison. But eh, it's not like it matters anyway. Those changes were made for pvp despite the fact that it negatively influences pve and dodging did help quite a bit tbh.

I was actually thinking about this exact thing the other day. It would give Graviton a use. I haven't seen anyone wearing it since they nerfed the shadowshot glitch. Pointless helmet if you ask me, only time I used anything other than Shadestep was when I used Keen Scout to farm planetary materials for the sword quests.

4 RepliesSince blink has a cool down, I think shade step should too. Double shade step is little bit annoying, if I'm being honest here. A single use with a cool down like it is now is perfectly fine. You shouldn't be able to just roll away once you start taking damage. Right now shade step is the only ability in the game where someone can start shooting you, and you just vanish out of the way. It also allows you to dodge all kinds of tracking grenades too. To me its the most valuable perk of any skill tree in the game, next to blade dancers quick draw. And you don't need an exotic to get it, like titans do with the twilight garrison. Plus with Graviton you can get one shade step PLUS wall hacks lol. That's enough.

1 ReplyIf thats the case then twilight should go back to being normal. We have to sacrifice an exotic slot for our "evade" and if you guys get 2 by using the perk and the exotic then we by default should have 2.

I didn't use it as a spam evade anyway, so it didn't really affect my playstyle. Plus, if you wear bones with better control (for evading) active, you can break the cooldown with a triple jump. It worked every time before the nerf, and works nearly 95% of the time now.

1 ReplyPersonally I think every class should have some sort of dodge roll. Feels more natural to be able to dodge things. I'm a PVE player so this opinion is from that side of the fence. When I play Hunter, having those 2 shadesteps was nice and got me out of some tight situations. I like your idea. Makes Graviton useful. At the moment I run Bones when I play nightstalker. Would possibly make me reconsider that exotic slot.
