OMG my wife and I had this problem. In the end I ran up killed and took the sword. Put it down at the top of the stairs blasted mini crota and chopped him down while the nooks sat in awwwww lol

Lol. I tried doing that once for the extra dps before back when 300 activities were actually hard with a couple friends who needed the fragment and accidentally blew myself up with a rocket. Got a well deserved dunce cap for the next few days until someone else screwed up big and it passed to them.
