There are so many pros for moving to next gen just for the consumer alone. Not only just for Destiny but all the great games coming out.
For the game makers, they are also forced to consider all the new consoles coming out and how that impacts them and the games they make.
MS alone has the slim version, and in the following year Scorpio.
It's time to retire last gen.

I wouldn't mind but for other companies, they can't retire last gen. NOT YET at least. The only company I know which is probably the last one to support 360+PS3 is the one that makes the lego games. But I agree, so many pros.

The time frame between the original xbox and the 360 was just a few years. There hasn't been anything in between the 360 and the xbox 1 for a very long time. MS, should have retired support for the 360 2 years ago. I'm sure it is difficult for some game makers to make the transition in between projects. But I would imagine all of them have some idea that years ago they needed to think about stopping for old gen.
