Do you think the traveler really wants to stick around and support the guardians when all they do is whine about the crucible?
Guardians are hardly fighting the darkness at all. If I were the traveler, I would GTFO of humanity's bullshit and go crawling back to the Elinksi with an apology. At least they cared enough to follow the traveler.
