So I played crucible with a below 1.0 kd player wondering how it would affect matchmaking
Lol least lag in a game in a long time... My bullets did damage and people died without rubberbanding all over like in my normal games. Then I stopped playing with him and my games were back to laggy shit show levels/. So my conclusion is SBMM creates laggy situations with no regard for ping or region...and that those guys were baaaad so I guess it works but sucks ass for good players.
Edit-I have 200m download and 35 upload. I don't know if this means the game thinks I'm a suitable host for foreign players or what but the majority of my solo games are europeans and south americans. Now there is nothing wrong with this aside from the fact that I am in north america and far away from both of those places so I'm not a good match for either continent.

3 RepliesWhen my friend wants to feel like he's good at this game, he tells his wife to get on so they can play together. He's always dropping 30+ kills when he plays with her because all the blueberries suck ass lol I played with her a couple of times and I dropped 40+ on 3 straight games, including a 50 kill game. Bungie still denies SBMM, of course we all know better.

3 RepliesYou don't have high speed , you have large volume. Ping is more important. No doubt it is fine as well but ping is the critical number . For destiny 1 up and five down is enough.

I feel you.. getting matched with the sweatiest boys from zimbabwe who sit at mcdonalds using the wifi sucks. I do only play pvp with friends and if i only play with 1-2 of them they hate me for which opponents were getting.

This is really common when there aren't that many still playing a game on a p2p network. Valuations/priorities in the netcode are a problem, sure, but you may be trying to make a mudpie out of mostly shit. Do me a solid and treat what I'm saying as on topic as possible re: the logistics you're investing in if you can

Lol I also have tried having friends queue with most of them around 1 KD and the games are generally better. Easier to find connection based game with 1 KD being the skill level.

3 RepliesI'm not good at crucible, but I'm not bad either. I have 2-3 KDS on other shooter games and destiny seems to be one of the most inconsistent MP games I have played. Some matches are ok but then there's the ones where my bullets don't register and I seem to take 2x damage from single shots of Anything. Hell last night I had to back stab a guy 3 times to kill him with blink strike. This game can be good, but they really need to do something about the people that play with poor connections.

1 ReplyI don't think that works. I've been an upper 0.7/ lower 0.8 KD player for a long time and still get lag (even with Verizon FiOS quantum).
