Played the crap out of curse of darkness on ps2 for years. Would have never known about all the things you could build without the guide book.

Same, I watched my dad play through SotN, Lament of Innocence, Harmony of Despair, but never saw him play Curse of Darkness. I played it and got so lost I printed off a 600 page guide just to figure out what I was doing (the Devil ID, for instance, I farmed 999 of each orb trying to evolve it to learn I had to use the Chauve-Saure) Still have yet to make every weapon though, even 6 years after starting.
