Dude goto bestbuy and try out some different mechanical key switches. I personally like reds. Right now I'm using a monoprice one that I nabbed for $36 on a sale and I'm in love with it. I would frequent r/buildapcsales to buy one at a good price if you want to save a bit.
As gar as mice, it really depends on your grip. Find out what you are, and find out what you need. If you're going to be mainly playing rts and mmo games you may want a mouse with a shit ton of buttons, and vice versa. I'm using a roccat kone military that's great for claw and fingertip grip. Make sure to get a mouse with an optical sensor, as they're almost always superior to their lazor sonsor counterparts. And whatever you do, don't just blindly follow the crowd. There is a huge circlejerk around the g502, and while it's a decent mouse, it's not worth it's price.

I get too many typos on red. I love brown tho

When I went from membrane to reds, The same thing was happening to me. I guess I just adapted eventually. I would love to have a keyboard with reds or blues though.

Thanks mate. It's a bit hard to find a place that'll sell actual gaming keyboard and mouse due to where I live but thanks for the tip about the optical laser. I feel like I'll be playing a variety of games since I'm not into just one genre.

Shit, didn't know you're in Austalia. That's a really -blam!-ing expensive build with all those import fees. I looked on r/mechanicalkeyboards and found a 'shopping guide' for keyboards here. You also might be able to find some through ebay, or an australian equivalent. On a separate note, Microsoft just announced that they'll start to distribute their games through Steam as well as the windows store, so we won't have to deal with the aborted fetus of GFWL anymore. Good luck with your build!

Thanks so much man and yeah, bloody expensive... I just want to get that all out of the way, just hope it lasts once I get it. I'm thinking of getting the crosair strafe (the none rgb version since it's cheaper) with the cherry MX brown. Took me forever to find out what those were but I found a YouTube video that helped out. Now I'm just down to a mouse.
