I wanted to like that game so much but I couldn't stand the bounding mechanic.

 • They removed it? What? From Tekken 7?

 • They replaced it with Tailspin. Tekken 7 is damn expensive for 1 game and only 5 stages :( I got to try it early though so all the people I played against are mid tier

 • Tekken 7 removed bound,It has some other mechanic now. The opponent is sent spiraling away mid-air,then you follow up with your combo. Apparently bound was a complicated mechanic.

 • Well I don't really understand how to use it fully. But I guess that makes sense since I've only had the game for 2 days.

 • Oh,What part of it is confusing? I think picking a character ,going to practice, play the "sample combos"(bottom of the move-list). they give you an idea of each character's bounding moves.

 • Well my use of bounds pretty much consists of two 66 damage combos with Jin. I understand how it gives you a chance for more attacks once they bounce of the ground but I don't really know anything good to capitalize on it with.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUTEQjrxgZo
1,2,3,4 is just X,Y,A,B U,D,B,F are directions. I think that gives you a few follow up ideas. When he charges up(pressing all buttons) that's just to simulate counter effects,in a real fight you just need to catch them with a counter attack.

 • Honestly that system was the reason I quit playing. I absolutely loved Tekken otherwise and it's been my go to fighting game since Tekken.

 • You quit at Tekken 6? Now, I'm just asking. Did you dislike being put in a bound state,or you just didn't like learning the mechanic? I've played every Tekken, when I got to T6. I was too lazy to learn bound & just sat out until Tag 2.

 • Didn't like it in general tbh. I don't mind learning a mechanic as I'm currently doing so with KI & Guilty Gear: Revelator and I had no issue relearning characters when they seemed to completely change them in from other Tekkens. I just disliked the mechanic in general. It just lead to some stupid BS in fights when you were helplessly getting thrashed.

 • Ah,I see. I thought juggling in Tekken was always more less OP. Tekken 5 for example(a fan favorite),People could do combos that took 1/2 your HP & weren't nearly as log as Tag combos. Tag at least let you sacrifice your rage to interrupt a combo by having your partner dive in.

 • The thing that's weirdest to me is the wake-up stuff. It's so much harder and different compared to every other game.

 • I absolutely loved the game and honestly wish they would have came out with a full released of that Tekken Resurrection again that they had on PS3. I played that for a bit but I got tired of having to wait for my character to finally unlock (I <3 Lei) and the token system killed it for me.
