The problem is that we don't know Raven didn't die between then and now. We don't know that the Taken don't have limited lifespans. There are no Taken bosses in the entirety of King's Fall. There is more than likely a reason for that.

Seems like a very speculative excuse for Bungie that relies on the purely unknown. I can counter-speculate as well. I really doubt the Taken have limited lifespans anyway since to be Taken is to be made closer to perfection. The Hive conception of perfection is based on resistance to death, and the ability to inflict death. If mere time is all it takes to kill Taken, that would be a huge oversight.
