Overall, I think it's a good idea to leave last gen. People who complain about having to fork out $30 for more content are the same people that think the government should be paying all of their bills while they do nothing but sit on a couch and eat cheetos. It's not any ones fault if some people can't afford a new console and game after their current console is 10 years old. IF you're so mad about not being able to afford things because of "how shitty things are" in your life at the moment, then maybe you should get the fu*k off that couch, stop playing destiny for 750+ hours and actually do something productive so that you can move up the ladder in the work world so you can afford things you want without drowning yourself in a puddle of self sorrow while lashing out at Bungie and other people that can afford these things. I understand that Destiny started on the last gen and new gen at the same time and that people might expect it to continue until Destiny 2 but you can't keep adding content to a game on a system that has very little RAM to be able to process all of this new content at a continuous basis. It's not about the HDD space, it's more about the RAM and GPU being able to handle multiple things at one time in a smooth way.. I never understood why people would complain or disagree with the pricing of these DLCs....it's more content to add to a game you have many hundreds of hours playing and are probably going to add hundreds of more hours playing with the new content. It's a simple thing to grasp. IF you're a year one player, bought the game, 1st two DLCs and TTK, you spent around $140 to get all of this content. Most of these player have well over 500 hours on the game. If that's isn't your moneys worth than I guess theres no satisfying you.

  • Honestly and truely, I have no idea how people get hour scores that high, I definitely overplayed the shit out of this game and my in game time across all my characters is like 120h. It's literally not the only game that exists.

  • Some people really enjoy the game that much. I think it sort of spoils your love for it by draining your interest but still some people do that

  • Who knows what people's circumstances are? You are right that some people just need to get of their asses, but for others it may be more complicated. On another note, hope the PS4K comes out soon. Maybe they can optimize Destiny for 60 fps and improve the graphics.

This was a bad move by Sony, they basically telling developers they need to build 2 games for one system, and 4K isn't that much better anyway, it's not like the jump from 720p to 1080p where they could design one game with different details in the graphic modes, it's a totally different system altogether, this could be the deal that breaks PlayStation and Sony apart. Think of Sony as the Activision to Bungie, but to the PlayStation. Also 4K Ultra TVs are a niche market right now, where only a small percentage of users can buy or even own one.

  • Think of it like this: You start developing a game. You develop it with the original PS4 in mind. Once you complete the game, you save you work as a file on your computer. You then copy that file to a folder that says "PS$ NEO" and continue on that copied file, adding the necessary options for enhanced visuals and so forth. It's a very easy process once everyone starts getting into the guts of the new dev kit. More than half of the 3rd party developers on PS$ also make PC games. They have wayyyyyy more options they have to go through while making a pc game because of the vast amount of different GPU and computer systems out there, so those developers in particular won't have any problem having to to develop on two different systems. It's the same exact architect in the system, just one has more horse power and you can add more graphical and memory options to it. It's a lot more difficult to make a PC game than a game for PS4 and then PS4 NEO. There's also an article that says this on the net somewhere.

  • I don't think it will have a negative effect, and one of the reasons for the release is VR. It doesn't have to necessarily be 4k resolution. Developers can take advantage of the extra power for better frame rates and graphics. Developing for the Ps4 is much easier than developing for the Ps3, so hopefully it's not an issue for developers. Time will tell though.

  • The DLC doesn't bother me as an idea nor actually paying for it. I'm more speaking for those of us who still only have Last Gen Destiny. It's infuriating to buy the same game again when we already have it. That's my gripe. I agree Destiny needs to move forward but I was expecting it to be in Destiny 2 not in the middle of an expansion being released. Also, what makes you think that people complain about the price are instantly lousy couch potatoes? I'm not, I'm working on my Bachelors in Business right now and it's difficult to buy games since I can't find a job due to my recent spout of depression and no one will hire me. I'm satisfied with my gameplay in Destiny and want to get the new stuff when I can so I can play it and experience it... But having to buy the game twice is the gripe. Having to do what you did before all over again because you were dropped.

  • I understand the situation of not being able to find a job in your current career path but there are plenty of other ways to make money. There should never be a time in someone's life that they can't have a job. Even if you have to flip burgers some where....some money is better than no money. I can also understand that there might be some people that are disabled and can't get specific jobs that require certain activities that they might not be able to do. Even with that scenario, there are so many avenues of being able to make money from home or on the net. For the people who don't have any disabilities but currently have no plans to go to school to further their education to be able to get a job with a degree, there are also plenty of jobs out there that don't require these degrees that can make you so much money. It was absolutely ludicrous the amount of money I was making before I got my degree. I was literally making upwards to $1000+ a week serving tables and $1800 a week bartending. I've been a firm believer that the hospitality business is the Avenue most people should look to if they want to make at least 2k a month. This also depends on where you live, though. I live in a big party city that has multiple conventions, festivals and the like. This area also has a big field in oil and gas where I have friends that make 4k a month and most of them barely got out of high school. People just have to do their research for their particular area to see what industry is the booming industry in their area. There's obviously areas that don't have any particular booming industry, so that's when making money from some Avenue on the Internet works best or even just having a part time job doing landscaping.

  • Some still don't have as much luck at getting a job or money as others due to certain circumstances but I will agree that there is money to be made out there.

  • Sorry but believing in luck is like believing in Santa. Neither exist anywhere other than the imagination

  • The second you believe that luck has anything to do with making money and moving up in the work world is the second you've already lost. Making money and getting a job has nothing to do with luck and has everything to do with Will and Determination

  • I'll agree and disagree. While your drive to work should be the key factor in getting a job or money, I'm not going to sugar coat it, life doesn't give a s***... This could just be my experiences within the past year or so but sometimes those who work hard just can't keep moving because they are being held back by no other reason than someone else either did it better or had connections
