Why does there always have to be something super evil that I need to defeat? Can't there for once just be nothing but a whole world to explore and do what you want? There are people who want to be villains. Keep those options open.
Then, when we start in prison or something, we need to break out. Once escaped, we can do whatevs we want.
No being the ultimate hero bullshit.

Play Morrowind. You have the choice of joining the "bad guy"

It was a little better in Oblivion. In Morrowind, you could summon a bunch of antronochs and kill everyone in Vardenfell.
-
It was kinda like that in TES: IV. You're just an ordinary prisoner who got lucky.
-
Yes, but then you're suddenly the chosen one after the Emperor had a look at you. I'd rather break out with my own plan, ya know?

You could always choose to not be the hero. Avoid the main questline, do the darker questslines, murder and steal all you want, the choice is always there.

Yes, but the quest is always in my journal. There's no evil path doing the main quest. What if I want to team up with.. ugh.. forgot the name if the Dragon whom we have to kill. Anyway.. It's just so silly that we are always the ultimate "chosen one".
