Middle option. If gunplay didnt feel solid and the universe wasn't interesting I wouldn't be around. Bungie has made a lot of stupid decisions and continues to do so. But if there is enough pve in rise of iron ill buy it. Since I've already sunk a lot of money in I at least want to see the end of destiny 1. Destiny 2 if it isn't massively better will not be on my hard drive. An that's a promise.

  • This. I pretty much only play PvP now... Not because I do the like PvE but it's so boring at the moment. I only do the strikes for marks now, it's tiring playing the same 3 (let's face it, RNGesus favors 3 or 4 strikes.) I would probably raid more, but Bungie alienated a lot of my friends so there aren't enough (and I've seen the quality of people on LFG... No thanks.) It would be cool if the live team would release a new strike or mission set every coupla months, just some small content releases kinda like the April update...it would add to the story, give us new strikes or missions, and really wouldn't take much. I wouldn't even be mad if it was reskinned stuff if it was free and gave me another strike to do every so often.

  • Pretty much my thoughts. Gameplay is excellent, but the decisions Bungie/Activision have made really have had a negative effect on this game imo. I've put a lot of time into this game, but time put in equalling a truly great game is skewed in this case. Destiny requires an inordinate amount of grind to level up and attain the gear you want at useable levels and with useable perks. Cutting out so much content that gives current level rewards was a huge mistake, as was making prior gear redundant at current levels. I get it going from D1 to D2, but not while still in the current generation of Destiny. I purchased the new dlc to complete my D1 experience, but have learned my lesson and am going to wait out the hype for D2. If there's the same bad tiered RNG system, constant blanket pvp/pve nerfs, and lack of optional matchmaking I may pass. I hope they learn and make it live up to it's potential...which is huge if done right.
