It is a fantastic album. I honestly can't remember a single bad song from it. It's got a handful of misfires, sure, but nothing I ever actively skip. Even Screenager and Dark Shines, they took me a while to appreciate, but they're definitely catchy, if not interesting pieces (Screenager's anti-emo sentiment is a retrospective breath of fresh air after years of '-blam!- the government/banks/other authority'*). *I'd like to point out that I'm not an authoritarian (not politically, and certainly not personally), but having the same themes and tone through album after album is the very definition of cliche.

  • It's my favorite album. There are some songs I don't really care for, but I still don't skip them.

  • It's certainly the most quality the band has produced in a very long time. I'm tempted to say Absolution is my favourite of the lot, but that its first I bought. Plus BH+R was - at the time - the big shiny new one that I adored because newy newness, just like Halo 2. Also I wasn't a very critical thinker before 2007.
