Wasn't Geralt's retirement for me.
When asked by Regis, Geralt told him he was going to continue being a witcher and only return to Corvo Bianco in the winter.
B&W being a continuation of the main game does make me wonder something, though.
How did it happen if you got bad ending?
(I'm sure you know which one I mean)

Yeah I did all the endings but I hung up my swords. I just felt Geralt needed the rest :)

Nah, didn't feel that way to me. Geralt has way more years in him yet to do odd jobs. Besides, it wouldn't fit in to my actual main game ending with Ciri if he didn't continue killing monsters. It was good ending, though. It felt like an ending that wasn't an ending. Like I just saw a portion of Geralt's life. Not to mention I finally got real closure from the books, so...
