Correct. Another good example of this is when you're torn between dimensions in the raid, you are taken essentially, but the light is fighting back. Hence why you return to the normal world when you grab that spark of light.

I believe that's more of you're in between Oryx's throne world and our physical realm. Hence torn between dimensions.

That entire raid (after you go through that portal in the Court of Oryx area) is in his throne realm though, the grimoire says he linked it to the dreadnaught for safety.

Exactly, being torn puts you in the space between the throne world and our own. Were still on the dreadnought which exists in Oryx's dimension and ours.
