I NEED THESE EXOTIC PRIMARIES
Alright guardians, I've an issue here. I've been looking for the same 3 primary exotics for a while now to no avail. Three of Disappointment (three of coins) hardly work, and when they do it's boots (don't care), chest pieces (still don't care) or a heavy (got em all so definitely don't care). And when I do get lucky enough for a primary engram, it's always something i already got, not the 3 specific ones I so desire to obtain.
Here is my question to you, more knowledgeable guardians out there, what is the best way to obtain these 3 primary exotics:
1. The Last Word
2. Zhalo Supercell
3. MIDA Multi-tool
Is there a way I can get a year 1 version of TLW or MMT so I can just purchase the year 2 version from the blueprints collection?
Is there a specific trick to enhance your chances of obtaining an exotic you don't already have from an engram?
What's the most effective way to get exotics?
I want these 3 bad boys so bad, it's unreal. So for my sanity's sake, can ya help a brother out?
EDIT: I've finally obtained all three! Here was how if you're curious. I'll list in order of receiving:
MIDA - year 1 version from 28 PoE then purchased year 2 version from blueprints
Zhalo - primary engram. Equipped all currently owned primaries. Not sure if it actually works this way but I got this and a Zen Meteor from this method. Comment for more details.
The Last Word - finally got this beast tonight. I got it from beating Oryx on hard. Had probably 90+ moldering shards in inventory.

Get the Vendor HawkSaw. I have all three of those exotics, and while they are good in their respective situations, the hawksaw is the most versatile weapon I own.

1 ReplyLevel 28 poe would be the most efficient way. Pop a 3 of clutch on the ultra, AND the big chest has a good chance of dropping y1 exotics. I got y1 hardlight ABD y1 tlw from the chest.

2 RepliesMida...good luck. I have gotten it just one time. For Zhalo and TLW, you need to pay attention to Xur, because he was selling both these weapons in the last month.

- I've had Last word drop many times since year 1. Recently from doing 3ofCoins and even more recently from doing Crota from Deathsinger. - Zhola I got that from a NightFall and most recently from Lord Shax's weekly PVP bounties. - Mida One drop year 1 from NightFall and recently my year 2 from Nightfall. My Biggest success for most of my Year 2 weapons has been from 3ofCoins running Challenge of Elders.

That's not how it works.

For the year 1 version of the weapons try just running Vault of Glass and Crota's End. For year 2 versions run the nightfall, do King's Fall, and then play crucible/heroic strikes and use your 3oC.

7 RepliesWith Zhalo, you're SOL. Mida and TLW, buy Legacy Engrams the next time Xur sells primary. They're (supposedly) heavily weighted to give you gear that you don't yet have, so if those are the only two you're missing, then you should get them off the first two engrams (again, supposedly. I've had nothing but bad luck with them). You'll have to wait for Xur to sell Zhalo or continue to try your luck with the 3oC.

7 RepliesI think that 3oc only works in some strikes like the S.A.B.E.R/alak hul, and some others but omnigul/dust palace never drop strike specific So try doing the strikes that you know will drop exotics in it

1 Reply3oC engrams, raid drops and zur. Only possible ways. Old raids can drop old exotics too. In vog, the gorgans chest and atheon have a chance to drop exotics. In crotas end it's deathsingers and Crota. You can solo crotas end in about 20 minutes with some practice. But it's still rng. In the same time you could do 2 heroic strikes or crucible matches with 3oC active. Of course with engrams you could end up getting armor but old raids only drop guns.

2 Repliesfor 1 & 3 you can buy Primary Legacy engrams from Xur and hope they turn up or you could pick them up when Xur brings them(I'm surprised you haven't done that). Is this a sudden urge to want these after looking at a site showing META options?

If you really want it badly you can create new characters and run poe for the first time and get a y1 exotic. I think this is still a thing.
