Personally, I'm skeptical that Bungie would confirm something like that, especially if she might not even be important to the story. I mean, in the story of a video game, SOMEONE has to die! Think about it, no other good character in Destiny dies! (Other than Kabr and his fireteam and Eris's fireteam) Somebody's gotta die in a cutscene, not just a backstory.
