Would Malok found the tablets of ruin to gain control of the taken ?
Because I don't see how else he gained such power, unless from a hidden Axiom

I assume it just has to do with him being a very powerful Taken automatically makes him eligible. Noru'usk was another Taken trying to climb to the throne, according to his card.
