That'd be stupid because the whole point of iron banner( and trials) is for rare armor and weapons. It would drop the rarity of the armor with more chances to get it. Iron Banner is good. If they were to change it, I'd say they should put it for every weekend. Starts Friday night. Ends Sunday morning. Live a week. Repeat.
