Exotic armor can drop from the chests in Crota and VoG but once you get a year two version shouldn't you get the year one version in blueprints?

It only works in one direction. Finding a Y2 version doesn't unlock the Y1.

You would think that right? But no, year 1 versions still say "Requires Discovery" in Blueprints.
