"It's not that bungie won't punish exploiters, it because ubisoft did"
English
-
I know what Ubi did with Division cheaters. How does this correlate to Bungie not doing anything?
-
Because if they did ban exploiters, they would look as bad as ubisoft. Exploits are the devs fault, and the devs responsibility to fix.
-
I've never believed in that approach. An exploiter is a cheater bottom line. They're using a flaw in the game that is giving them an advantage. It's all paramount to cheating and should be handled the same way.
-
"A flaw in the game" are the key words. Who makes the game? Devs do. Whose responsibility is it to make sure such exploits don't exist? The devs. Whose responsibility is it to fix such mistakes? The devs. If it weren't for the players, the exploit would have never been found, and could lead to worse things. Exploits are the devs fault. Plain and simple.
-
Seeing as how complex games are these days, bugs are common hence patching. If people find an exploit and abuse it, that makes them a cheater and they should be held accountable for their actions plain and simple.
-
Players should still be held accountable for their actions. Violators of gameplay need to be punished. People need to learn their are consequences for action. If their actions ruin other people's gameplay and take advantage of game flaws they need to be held accountable. There's life lessons in there as well. We need to stop pussy-footing around discipline and call a cheater a cheater.
