Is that not what the light is doing? The Guardians are defeating the Darkness, they determine that a Taken King, a First Navigator does not exist, without their consent, and they do not give that consent. What Toland does not understand, is that we, the Light, are another Army, and perhaps in a Universe of Armies, we are the killing blow, the Light being the Sovereign that cannot be defeated. We eliminate the Darkness and do not permit it to continue to exist in the forms we defeated. We will continue to do so, as we did with the Vex, as we did with the Hive, and as we will do with anything that challenges us moving forward. We are the final army, the final rule.
