Toland and Osiris are fatalists resigned to the fate of the Darkness conquering all. If the Vault of Glass showed us anything, it's that Guardians make their own fate.

Oh... and Vault didn't show us that at all. That was just the text. We were fated to defeat him.

No... neither were fatalists. And Osiris was NOT like Toland.

I would hardly call them fatalists. Toland believes in a hyper-competitive universe where everything must fight to escape extinction, but that doesn't mean he thinks that Darkness will be the victor. He may be aiding us because he thinks we have a shot at being "the queen at the end of time," or at least the victorious predecessor to this queen. As for Osiris, what suggests to you that he is a fatalist? Why would he bother seeking strong guardians in his Trials if he believed we are doomed to lose?
