For example, that is why a fertile female dogs scent is so enticing to male dogs. In order to bring in as many potential mates as possible from the area, have them compete as well as multiple matings and increase the chances that she will have a diverse and robust litter. Attempting to use biology to rationalize social constructs or (even worse) tell people how they should/shouldn't behave is intellectually dishonest. Human beings are sexual beings to remarkably varying degrees and in amazingly different ways. Trying to use labels to empower some while belittling others is (IMO) a sign of insecurity and lack of self-confidence.
