So what I got from this is either:
1: Run away (they used this argument for hammer of sol btw, and look where that got em)
2: Fight them head on with draining health and them only needing to shoot you once to end you.
3: Kill them with healing perks, cause everyone has a weapon or ability that heals you at the ready.
4: Jump on the grenade, when not many people have the reflexes and or the grenade landing too far out of reach to do so.
While I admit there are ways to counter a warlock spamming firebolt grenades with max discipline they aren't very reliable ways and tend to end in either luck or you dying, I would only ask for either a small reduction to the time it burns you (and keep how much damage it does over all) or a reduction to how much damage it does so you aren't one shot by the time you stop burning. There are 2 other grenades for that class yet everyone assumes nerfing one grenade a little will end the class :P
I'm sure everyone has run into a full team of warlocks in Trials with firebolts by now, I don't think I have ever seen anyone abuse a class so hard.

I can respect this. Do I agree, no, but you didn't just flat out bash my ideas and laugh in my face. Piece of advice: while it my be hard, gauge your choice of running into/away from the firebolt based on the distance, and the moment you see a red grenade thrown in a long arc just run.
-
Glad to see it can be discussed without strait hate lol I don't believe warlocks are extremely op like some would suggest I just feel the one grenade needs a slight tweak, I respect your opinion regardless though
-
Running away is probably the worst thing to do when tagged. At least with the hammer you had audible warning of what was coming and had some time to retreat lol
-
If we are talking about Trials then running away from a tag is a better idea, but for regular crucible you would probably get cut off, regardless running away is not a viable tactic when getting tagged and neither is running towards the lock in hopes of killing him/her lol
-
I just don't see it being possible to have the ability or time to see the grenade ignite, turn around and somehow get out of range before the bolts targets you. Sure, I guess it could be done. But worst case scenario is you turn to run, get tagged and now your back is toward the enemy. Me personally, I would rather try ANY of the other counters than even consider number 1.
-
Oh you mean before you get tagged I'm talking about after you get tagged, in my experience I normally get tagged from behind cover so I can afford to fall back but it still doesn't end well 70% of the time
-
From the way OP worded Counter 1, it looks to me like he's talking about before the bolt tracks you. Depending on your position, running away after getting tagged could work. But the Warlock will follow the numbers and call out your location.

That is correct

That or someone will cut you off, or you will burn out cause you were already shot, or they will throw another firebolt the list goes on really lol
