Reduce the burn time. That's all that needs to change. No other non-sticky grenade takes you out of the fight for that long with 1 hit regardless of the distance from the center of the blast radius. Many OP things are counterable in some way. It doesn't make them not OP though. It's the combination of the 14 seconds out of the fight, high overall damage, omnidirectional seeking, multi target seeking, and no damage drop off for distance that make them too strong. Particularly in 3v3 game modes.
Do you know why Arcbolt was nerfed despite it doing less damage than Firebolts and having no ability to apply a burn?... because Hunters were running around with Lucky Raspberry (spawn with grenade energy) and tossing one Arcbolt and then hitting you once with Thorn for the kill. You can do that with Firebolts still now using Voidfang as the majority of high skill Trials Sunsingers do.
No other non-sticky grenade takes you out of the fight for that long with 1 hit
So seeing as though this is the only issue you have make it just hit 170 damage straight up rather then over time?

Edited by Sixclicks: 5/21/2016 3:26:25 PMI think it's actually 155 total or something like that, but that would be fine. Or cut the burn duration in at least half while keeping the same total damage. So it'll still do the same total damage, but it won't burn you forever.

That's not true at all. Arcbolts did and still do more damage than firebolts (on their own). Arc bolts also chain to other nearby players naturally, so they were stronger on their own.

It is true. That's what every single Hunter was using. It did 122 damage. Firebolts still did more damage than that. And of course I'm implying the use of VF and ToF. No Firebolt user in their right mind doesn't select those perks. It's essentially the standard. There was no reason to nerf Arc Bolt other than the specific combo I mentioned that was extremely prevalent.

Edited by Levigumba, Overload's Bane: 5/21/2016 5:52:17 AMFirebolts only did 95 damage and now they do 85. Two firebolts do more damage than one with VK and ToF consistently.

Dont get to excited. As the Devs have said before, the only thing the Sun singer has going for it is the grenades and melee (which has now been nerfed). The blade dancer has its super as well as blink, going invis, the back stab perk which will one hit kill anyone even if its not in the back and the arc grenade, overall its a stronger class which a lot more useful perks.
