It's, by definition, an MMO.

 • I disagree. Destiny has elements of a MMO, but is not a MMO. Definition of MMO:
A massively multiplayer online game (MMOG or MMO) is an online game which is capable of supporting large numbers of players simultaneously in the same instance (or world).
Destiny can only support 16 players in a social area simultaneously and 9 in a PvE combat area simultaneously. I do not consider these numbers to be "massive" or "large".

 • You must not play MMO,s, with the graphical requirements nowadays very few can support more than 10-20 players in a single activity.

 • Or 3 in a fireteam for all but 3 activities in PvE.
