My dog Hershey
My dog has cancer and liver failure I feel sad and felt like I should just say something out here his name is Hershey. He's only 9-10. He's a beautiful brown (hence the name Hershey!). Hershey's been one of the best dogs in the world! I've had him sense I was 3-4. I used to take him to a baseball field and just let him run. I'd race him to my front porch after a walk! Hes been to the beach and has had many other cool places. Hershey loves cheweys and treats. It seems just like last day Hershey and me raced to the front door as I opened the front door after a walk with Hershey looked down at him as he races to the fridge waiting for me to get him a ice cube. Hershey has been an amazing dog a dog any man could dream of having!

Am I a bad person because I have more sympathy for sick animals than sick people? Sorry to hear that Hershey is sick. It's never easy losing a furry family member.

I should know, my work partner is a lovely belgian tervuren with a sable coat. Working alongside dogs has made me appreciate them so much more! They actually communicate quite well if you have a solid bond with them. My advice to you as Hershey's master; Love him unconditionally like he loves you. Be with him in times of need and difficulty. The road he faces is scary so be by his side. Comfort him by your presence and talk to him. The soothing tones of your voice will ease his pain to levels you wouldn't believe. Never leave your beloved pet alone to pass away. Remember he is a family member and he holds a place in your heart. Let him live his last days happy. Be with him on his last day.

You could always hope your dog is a Sunsinger. Just make sure there's no snipers around.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I am not a pet person myself but know many that are. If you are sad, try to remember the good times you had together before the s**t went down.

Had to put my puppy pit down in November. He just turned 4 and found out he had lymphoma. Lasted about 3 weeks after and couldn't let him suffer anymore. We still have his sister who is also a purple ribbon blue pit.

If you talk to your vet he/she could possibly give you a prescription for some edible marijuana to ease his pain. A friend on mine had a dog with similar health concerns and the edible marijuana seemed to help.

I had a poodle named koka (my family's russian so..) he was the nicest dog ever..he was blind and deaf around the time I was 6 then he died on thanksgiving ): rip... I have a new dog (he's a shih tzu) named donnie he's almost a year old. I wish you the best if luck and remember you dog. A dog can be an amazing friend

My dogs name was Hershey. He passed a year and a half ago. Miss him every single day.

1 ReplyNothing can take away the memories that you have of Hershey. I lost my childhood dog a couple years ago when she was 14. There are so many memories that I have of her and things that make me think of her that I will always cherish. I also got two more dogs and I see some of her in both of those dogs. You are the greatest thing that ever happened to Hershey and likewise.
