The reason the slot is not there is because there isn't any chroma for class items.

There is chroma for the regular class items. I checked the hunter cloak, Titian mark, and warlock bond at the eververse place in the sterling treasure.

The spektar line, not including spektar faction lines, is the only one with a class item w/ chroma.
