Making a character gay just for the sake of having a gay character is stupid and pointless. Around 4% of the US's population is gay or lesbian, so come on. Why should the 4% push around the 96%?

While the minority shouldn't have control over everything, America is a place where the minority is supposed to have a voice (which is why I dislike the 2 party system) this idea was detailed in the federalist paper no. 10
