Just no.
Defender titans are already amazing if you know how to play them. Suppressor grenades anyone? They are the king of the fun police and it's quite enjoyable playing that way.
As far as offense...you have no idea the power weapons of light brings to the table. Oh your 3 shot first curse....Yeah it's a 2 shot kill now. High impact snipers? Yup they are a 1 body shot kill now. No other subclass in the game can give your entire team the ability to 1 body shot kill someone.
Another offensive strategy....Max strength + no backup plans + universal remote or any other shotgun. You become just a wrecking ball tearing through people. With a 20 second over shield that primary kills will give you every 30 seconds.

I've spent 90% of my "Destiny Career" as a Defender. And I full appreciate the benefits of Weapons of Light and Blessings of light. I'm talking mostly in a PvE capacity as a bonus to a Support-Class. Of course it would come with a certain perk for PvP, but it's far from "OP." Consider how often it is that your team-mates die close enough to each other in order for you to be able to throw a Ward of Dawn over multiples at the same time? Most of the time there's a wide bit of space between people when they're downed, so really, you'd only be rezzing 1, maybe 2 at a time, except for very rare circumstances, even in PvP. Then take into account the fact that Ward of Dawn has it's own natural "Cool-Down" period as a Super, and the limited range that Ward of Dawn grants. The aspects and properties that already exist provide a perfect "Balance" to the ability, if you were able to revive people by casting your Ward of Dawn over them when they're dead.
