Saw sir dimetrious YouTube video gotten my second longbow.
Max light then equip a year 1 special i was gobsmacked not guaranteed but no harm in trying except lower light reward.
Tried a few times max light everything just get armour and luckily just 1 ghost shell

I wish people would stop associating their luck with using this method!You having a year 1 special equipped and getting a longbow is coincedence nothing more! It's RNG, there's no manipulating it! I've opened 16 of my 49 packages with a year 1 Sniper equipped, I've not received 1 single special weapon!

I said it was not guaranteed but no harm in trying just saying that's what happened to me

It doesn't do any difference , there's no way to manipulate rng , mostly now that's is broken...
