Honestly, I think it is because the female mind tends to find these sorts of games more appealing.
Plus, it doesn't hurt that these games are actually pretty enjoyable in and of themselves.

I agree that these are all great games. I enjoy most of them myself. I'm sure I could explain why games such as these are especially appealing to female gamers, but I like discussing things with other people. The fun is in the problem, not the answer. cx [spoiler]I agree. I'm also quite surprised with how many people aren't properly grasping the concept. Very surprised, actually.
