The figure stood, stolid in the midnight, gazing over a vast sheet of perfect ice. A glass mirror placed down to mirror the black sky. The figure wore a H suit and its visor was slightly fogged. The thermometer read -216° and dropping. The figure was standing on a hill of sorts looking over what was called The Enigma. The figure's mind wandered as he stared at the ice.
The sky, black as night, lay silent. It seemed even the stars had abandoned Earth. And the lone figure staring at the greatest mystery on Earth.
Lian, as the figure's name was, shifted and took a breath in. His thoughts went to when he was little. He had always wanted to explore the Enigma. People told him it was not safe. Of course not. This while damn world isn't safe. I'm not expecting on little piece of ice to be.
Lian looked at The HUD display and saw his location to be approximately three miles off the coast of Madagascar. He knew that he had to get home. At least to the place he called home. A Dome, under the Star's command, in North America. And to do that he would have to ride.
He looked back at the ice. One day. One day. And then he turned to head back to his ship.

Edited by slight: 5/11/2016 2:43:11 PMLian crested a second hill beyond the one he had been on to see a small hover speeder floating over the ice. It was sleek. His flashlight beam washed over it as he drew even closer. Lian reached it and checked for damage. The cold sometimes got to these things. Seeing nothing, he was satisfied to its performability. Lian checked his suit, everything was clear. He slung his right leg over and straddled the vehicle. His hands, in huge gloves, rested on handle bars which was the steering mechanism. He lifted both feet up and rested them in cradles behind him and on the edge of the speeder. He revved the engine but didn't hear anything. A few lights came one and he felt the speeder start to vibrate. A smile appeared, though hidden by the bulky helmet, on his lean face. A laugh, inaudible to all but him, and he pushed the engine to maximum. The speeder took a second to respond but when it did the speed was exhilarating. The speeder raced along the ice, over hills and though valleys on its way across the frozen tundra of what used to be the Red Sea in Africa.
Reply to this post. Open.
Another group of speeders is seen, most wearing lightweight armour with ine normaweight.
-
Lian slows to a hover and places a hand on his rifle which is strapped to the speeder's side. He didn't know what these people wanted and didn't want to risk anything.
Sorry for the delay.

its OK. Hey, I made a page for my faction
They approach, and you can see the symbols of The Eyes of Horus on them,
-
Lian utters a quiet curse that is muffed by his suit. He hated the Eyes. And he no reason to. He just did. He still wondered what they were doing this far south.
-
wow. Straight up hostilities here. Why?
The leader signals for his men to slow down, and he continues to approach, getting off in range to use his revolver if he had to and walking to you
-
lol. Idk. Figured not everyone likes factions. Also sorry for the late reply. Long day
Lian remained on the speeder as he watched the figures draw near. His hand stayed on his rifle and his other rested on the gas of the speeder.

Edited by Lordbakon: 5/12/2016 3:22:19 PM
no problem. Hey, your characters a merc right?
Teh man approaches. "A wanderer I assume? Or a merc?"
-
Basically yeah.
Lian nodded and then spoke, his voice different thanks to the suit. "Yes, I am." He lifted his hand off the rifle and loosened his grip on the gas. "Do you need me?"
-
"We might as well, first, introductions. My name is Jakob Ryder." He says, extending a hand.
-
Lian shook the man's hand and said, "Lian Michael." He dropped the man's hand and demounted from his speeder. He checked the thermometer and saw it was -240°. Holy Shit. he thought. That's insane.
-
He thinks the same thing. "Gonna be a chilly one today." He says jokingly, before being serious again. "We're hunting down a group of men, killers. We'd like you to help us 'deal' with them."
-
Lian nodded. "Killers for who? Killers don't kill for themselves, they always work for a bigger boss. Who are these killers working for?" Lian checked his suit's condition. It was mostly okay. A little frozen in the left elbow joint. Not good considering he was left handed.
-
"We don't know yet. That's why we want them." He says, and sees his suit freezing up a bit. "Shall we move somewhere warmer?"
-
Lian readily nods. "Yes."
-
He moves to his bike, and his men signal for you to follow. Jakobs bike stays behind. "If you want in, we should discuss your payment."
-
"Agreed." Lian mounted his speeder and revved the engine. "Ready?"
-
He does the same, revving his "Whenever you are."
-
Where should they go?
He slowly applies gas to the engine and the speeder lifts up and moves forward. The speedometer read 35mph. "Well, I'm ready."
-
idk, I'll have a place for them.
He follows next to you. "So, do you have a usual price or is it always different?"
-
"Random. Always depends on the job." Lian gives some more gas. 60mph. Barely a fourth of what the speeder could do given the chance.
-
He follows, kicking up the speed to match yours. "So, what do you think the price for an attack on what can only be described as a squadron."
-
Has neon placed a currency standard?
Lian paused and thought. "25000." He paused. "No. 30000."
-
no. You think he would be now though lol.
"Hm. 27500?"
-
Yeah. XD
"Done." Lian was pleased with the price. "So, when are we going to strike? Do we have a location on them?"
