I've resorted to buying green armour just to break down, they are expensive.

I've resorted to this method when I needed just a few more materials to upgrade a bit of armor. Really annoying.

How much does a green give you?

1-2 mats per. Mostly just one when it's not upgraded. Cost is 750 glimmer but might be worth it if you drop a couple motes into it.
