Yes, bubble is the only way. For serious. At least one. Saint-14 isn't necessary, but if you like it, go for it.
One major thing my fireteam does is destroy the turret on the ship immediately. It deals massive splash damage, and your fight is much easier once it's gone. After its destroyed, focus on the adds.
When the second ship appears, kill the turret again and drop another bubble. Let the adds come to you and funnel them into a grinder.
Pop another bubble for the last wave and focus only on staying alive. Kill what you must but stay in or near the bubble. You only have to survive to 100%, not kill everything. Even if you all die after 100%, you respawn and continue the mission.
Zhalo Supercell is KEY for the warsat. Good luck, Guardian.

Thanks a bunch for a most civil, informative post! We're taking out the turrets whenever they appear, and using Zhalo for the moment. But as soon as anything stealth appears it shrugs off our fire like a cloak of invincibility and bludgeons us to death with steel. Think we need to get our level up quite a bit and keep at it.

Ya know, I didn't even realize you were talking about Nightfall. So on second thought, yeah your light level is of the utmost importance. I generally don't check author profiles so I kinda missed the point.

Tether hunter+ defender with sword and iron harvest + Shock Lock = ???

That would definitely work, I just think that bubble bro is essential. I'm sure teams have made it without one, but not me :)

Sub for a res lock with Telesto or Supercell

See yeah you're definitely onto something there. I'm no expert. I guess I mean in my own experience, with randoms, bubbles are good. Wheeeee bubbles!
