Ah okay. It seemed like maybe something a high school girl would do. I have no advice, I never understood the whole "I have to be single" thing. It's not like you asked her to marry you, what harm would grabbing a cup of coffee or a movie do? Girls are weird, I'm a girl and I don't understand them half the time.

Exactly my thoughts, except that I do sort of understand the "have to be single" thing. There usually are a lot of underlying reasons for it. It is just a relatively bothersome thing when you're asking someone out
