A thrall eating a guardian's light when dead would not work because that kills the guardian. Players have to be revivable. Just a note.

Would work on strikes, raids, arena type modes, patrol and other activities where there more than one player.

They still revive. A lightless Guardian is like the one on the moon or the Eris team.

Doesn't mean the Hive have to eat all the Light. As long as the guardian has a ghost, they can be revived anyway. Eris' fireteam had their ghosts destroyed by the shroud of Darkness.
