They did bring it back. It's called Susanoo. Warlock exclusive.

Murmur let you toggle it manually Susanoo changes to your subclass elemental the instant you use a grenade or ability

No need to nit pick. :) I personally didn't like Murmur, but I liked the idea of changing a weapon like that. -
