I mean, that's why Bungie should make players have the ability to choose the heroic strikes from the director. If someone wants to farm for any strike specific drop, they should be able to do it outside the playlist. And make them continuous, so we don't have to back out to Orbit every time.

This, there needs to be a way to select it, also needs to be a way of ensuring people aren't getting same strikes over and over whilst never seeing some of the strikes

Always, a Normal, Heroic and Nightfall modifier for every strike.

Yea and there's a nightfall mode but just the difficulty not the rewards, but there will still be the weekly random nightfall
