I slightly agree but I'm still getting the occasional ghost from the nightfall seriously they should just take them out of the nightfall loot pool

I would agree, but considering the the entire destiny community some people actually do still need ghosts and if they don't have teams for pvp or pve then the nightfall provides a great outlet for obtaining one. I guess you could say that it's a "first world problem" for destiny players like us where we don't need them anymore.
