I very much understand this. I finished the quest quite some time ago, but I was having the same issue with it. I pretty consistently do well in my crucible matches, but I can't net 2.0+ k/ds though. It's much more difficult. I'm getting better, but it's quite hard to pull that off every game, ESPECIALLY when there are variables like bad teammates and shitty timing catching you in situations that you can't succeed in. I had gotten about 70% in like 3 games and then suddenly I got into terrible games and dropped to like 40%. Finally, I stopped trying to play fair and I camped with my Party Crasher like an asshole and just picked off stragglers in Rumble. I feel absolutely no shame because I honestly believe this quest was poorly put together.

This is why the quest is rubbish. It encourages crappy play and rewards it. I'm average in crucible but with tlw equipped I'm totally useless. They nerfed the gun, should have nerfed the quest too.

That gun has been on a Roller Coaster of buffs and nerfs since the beginning of TTK. Not to mention, it rewards a certain style of play, so even if the gun is arguably good, it's not great in the hands of certain players. I'm okay with the gun, but prefer more reliable hand cannons. It's best range is shotgun, or maybe fusion rifle, range, but for all that I could just use my Party Crasher, which I did indeed do.
