I fail to see how hawkmoon isn't based off of skill. Especially compared to weapons like doctrine and mida which are basically just spray weapons. I disagree and think that any non full auto primary weapon that requires headshots to be competitve takes skill to use.
Hawkmoon take a decent amount of skill to land headshots. Not to mention you have to know the ranges. It's not like year 1 with crazy range and very little dropoff. The only real luck factor was year 1 when you could 1 shot people. As it is now it's pretty much a consistent 3 shot kill like most handcannons. Occasionally you can get lucky and get a 2 shot kill. But this is much, much rarer now that it requires 2 lucky rounds. Year 1 was a pretty consistent 2 shot kill. Which even then was fine because you could outgun thorns with it. If you were good.
For a good majority of year 2 the only handcannon that could compete was tlw. That's a sad state for a weapon class when there is only 1 valid option.

"Only 1 Valid Option for a Weapon Class" Well I see a Sadist here. This kid never heard of sweats or what others called scrims‚ yes I know its only 1 option but its not TLW its Thorn instead. The only people that use TLW in sweats are SirDimetrious‚ tripleWRECK‚ nKuch and people who have the guts to do so

My comment was for y2 weapons. Not for weapons that are y1 only. Also my comment was about the state of handcannons in general. The fact that of all the year 2 options available only one is good enough for sweats. So therefore handcannons as a weapon class are in a bad position if you only have 1 viable y2 option for sweats.

"A Consistent 3 Shot Kill" Someone Is defending here I see. Hawkmoon with Aggressive Ballistics can 2 shot kill directly and consistently and can do it more accurately than Thorn or TLW (Given its very wild recoil even with SDC)

Actually it can't 2 shot without 2 lucky shots. I'm not defending I'm stating facts. My friend used it in trials against a guy over 10 light levels lower than him and it only hit for 90 damage max. That's a 3 shot kill. Even first curse which has a much higher impact is a 3 shot kill. Year 1 hawkmoon was a nearly consistent 2 shot kill. But it is not that way anymore.
